Fish Turnover

On Monday Micaiah rolled over for the first time! He hasn't quite figured out how to return to his back from his belly, but once he gets onto his tummy he tries furiously to get his arms and legs going to propel himself forward. I got a little teary when he rolled over that first time. Our baby is just growing up so fast...

Happy Birthday!!

On April 7th Mikey turned the big 28! He unfortunately had to work on his birthday, so we celebrated the following weekend with a BBQ. Mike requested an ice cream cake for his birthday, but since the closest (and only) Dairy Queen in the state is an hour away, I decided to try my hand at making one. Happy Birthday to my "bestest friend in the whole wide, tall, fat world" :)

Playing Catch Up

I just realized that I haven't posted in almost 2 months! It is amazing how little free time I find myself having now that we have a baby! A lot has happened in the past 2 months, so I will just try to hit the highlights. First, my good friend Cindy and the church we went to when we lived in Kenai threw us a baby shower. It was really fun to see everyone again, especially the kids in the youth group that we worked with when we lived there. It was a wonderful time of hearty feasting and sweet fellowship, and an evening so good for our souls. I did, however, unfortunately forget the camera :(
In other news, Mike chinked the entire inside of the house, which was quite a job, but it looks nice and the house is much warmer. Micaiah also had a well-baby checkup on March 18th. He weighed in at 16.4 lbs (90 percentile) and 25" (75 percentile). Needless to say our little chunky monkey is growing well!
